The Niagara Shebang

Centre for the Arts, Brock University launches unique creative residency for local artists.

Centre for the Arts, Brock University and Dreamwalker Dance Company are embarking on The Niagara Shebang – a multi-disciplinary, professional development and creative residency program for emerging and established artists in the Niagara Region. The four-day residency will take place in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre, April 21-24, 2013.

The public is invited to attend an informal presentation of The Niagara Shebang on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre. This event will be the culmination of the first session in this three year, multi-disciplinary creative residency program. This is a FREE event, no reservation is required.  A reception will follow in the theatre lobby.

Known as one of Canada’s leading collaborative artists, Andrea Nann, Artistic Director of Dreamwalker Dance Company has developed the “Shebang” concept – a series of movement-based creative strategies to enhance collaborative artistic practice while honing self-awareness and individual artistic expression. Customized specifically for our community, The Niagara Shebang is intended to facilitate and inspire a collaborative approach to creative expression.
